Fifteen years ago, when the circular economy was still an unpopular concept in the business world, entities and companies in the region of Navarra were already working to make the community a pioneering territory in this field. Thanks to these first efforts, in the last decade, the strategy implemented has resulted in the international positioning of Navarra as a benchmark in circular economy.
Navarra currently has a very competitive ecosystem, which places it as a relevant player in the audiovisual industry. The achievement of this milestone, however, has not been due to chance or luck, but has been the result of key decisions to achieve this development.
Despite its relative youth, the regional technology industry already employs more than 3,500 people and generates revenues of around 300 million euros. The automation of production processes, cybersecurity and the management of infrastructures and systems stand out.

The renewable energy sector has been an ambassador for the region around the world since its implosion in the 1990s. The region played a leading role in the popularization of wind energy with pioneering wind farms and manufacturing companies that soon became among the most important in the world.
If we look at the figures, it is clear that the health sector in Navarra has the potential to be considered a benchmark at European level. Of the total of 31,508 people working in the health sector, 1,065 work in research and 2,465 in the health industry.
Navarre, in northwestern Spain, is one of the strategic automotive enclaves in southern Europe. In a region of just over 10,000 square kilometers and some 650,000 inhabitants, the industry’s figures reveal that it is a highly relevant sector: 112 companies, 13,000 jobs and an annual turnover of close to 6.5 billion euros.
Navarra is one of the leading European enclaves in the agri-food industry. This region has been able to take advantage of a very strong historical tradition, intrinsically linked to its development and growth, and to promote a sustainable production that has managed to make a name for itself and to cross borders with vegetable products of proven quality.
