The Ministry of Industry and Tourism has provisionally awarded €2.98 million to SKF Española S.A. for its plant in Tudela (Navarre), under the fourth call of the Strategic Project for the Recovery and Economic Transformation of the Electric and Connected Vehicle (PERTE VEC), within the industrial value chain line (Section B).
This support is part of the 34 initiatives selected in this call, which together amount to €134.7 million in funding aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of the electric and connected vehicle sector.
In the case of SKF’s Tudela plant, the grant will support a research project focused on hybrid rolling architecture and curved spline technology with digitalised processes for electric vehicles. This line of work seeks to advance cutting-edge technological solutions in key components for transport electrification.
PERTE VEC is one of the main public support mechanisms for transforming Spain’s automotive industry. The programme forms part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and contributes to accelerating the transition towards more sustainable, digitalised and low-emission mobility, by supporting investments that enhance technological development, industrial competitiveness and employment.
Funding projects such as SKF’s in Tudela further strengthens Navarre’s position as a strategic location for advanced industry and e-mobility, expanding its role within a key industrial value chain for both the regional and European economy.
