Navarra continues to consolidate its position as one of Europe’s strongest and most industrialised economies, supported by high levels of income, productivity and export capacity. This is highlighted in the strategic report “Navarra 2030”, promoted by the Navarra Investment Institute (INI), which analyses the region’s strengths and challenges for the coming decade.
The report underlines the importance of industry in Navarra, which accounts for nearly 30% of the region’s Gross Value Added, well above the European average, as well as Navarra’s ability to generate skilled employment, attract investment and develop high value-added strategic sectors.
An industrial economy with strong transformation capabilities
The analysis highlights Navarra’s diversified and resilient economy, with key strengths in sectors such as automotive, agrifood, renewable energy and industrial technology. At the same time, it identifies the need to accelerate the transition towards more technology- and knowledge-intensive activities.
Among the main challenges for the coming years are strengthening and diversifying the industrial base, boosting advanced services, attracting and adapting talent, and developing strategic infrastructure, energy capacity and industrial land to meet new business demands.
The report also stresses the importance of increasing the technological value added of Navarra-based companies and fostering a more agile and competitive environment for investment and the development of strategic projects.
Navarra, a competitive environment for international investment
Industrial strength, a robust innovation ecosystem and strong public-private collaboration continue to be some of Navarra’s key competitive advantages as an investment destination. The region benefits from an extensive network of technology centres, universities and sector clusters that promote innovation and knowledge transfer to companies.
In addition, Navarra stands out for its institutional stability, export capacity and an economic model focused on sustainability, digitalisation and the energy transition — all key factors for addressing global economic challenges and creating new growth opportunities.
With this strategic vision, Navarra continues working to consolidate a competitive, innovative and industrial economic model, prepared to lead future challenges and attract high-impact business projects.
