The Danish multinational is building a new industrial facility in Esquíroz, where it will consolidate its production of bolts for renewable energy and expand its manufacturing capacity. The new site, which is set to become operational in September this year, will enable the company to centralise all its production in a single location, improve processes, and pave the way for sustained growth over the coming years. In this regard, Rose Holm is one of the latest success stories of foreign investment in the region, supported by Invest in Navarra, the investment promotion division of Sodena, a public agency of the Government of Navarre.
The company currently operates from a 1,200 m² facility in Noáin. The new complex will have a built area of 3,500 m² on a 5,000 m² plot, with space for new production lines that will help alleviate bottlenecks and significantly boost output capacity.
Rose Holm manufactures foundation bolts and fittings for assembling wind turbines — essential components in the wind energy supply chain. With this latest development, the company expects to triple its production volume, reaching the capacity to supply parts for more than three wind turbines per day. It also plans to diversify into other industrial and renewable energy sectors.
The full relocation is scheduled to be completed by spring 2026, at which point the company aims to reach its target workforce of 20 employees, compared to the current 6. In parallel, Rose Holm expects to reach an annual turnover of €15 million in that same year.
Founded in 1963 in Denmark, the company operates production centres in its home country, the United States and Spain. It is currently led by Ann Rose Bokkenheuser, granddaughter of the founder Erik Rose Holm, and has a global workforce of around 50 employees and an annual turnover of €25 million.
Invest in Navarra, the investment attraction division of Sodena, played a crucial role in bringing this investment to the region. Those interested in learning more about the process can find further information in the “Success Stories” section via the following link.
NAVARRE’S RENEWABLE ENERGY ECOSYSTEM
Navarre is a pioneer and benchmark in Europe in the production of renewable energy, with a long-standing technological and industrial commitment that has helped shape new global standards in wind energy.
The sector ranks as the third most important in the region, following the automotive and agri-food industries, and is supported by a robust industrial network of more than 110 companies, representing 10% of industrial employment and generating a turnover of €4.5 billion, equivalent to 5% of the regional GDP. It is also Navarre’s second-largest exporting sector, primarily through the manufacture of wind turbines and their components.
The region’s dense industrial fabric covers the entire value chain, including a major renewable energy operator (Acciona Energía) and two leading OEMs: Siemens Gamesa and Nordex-Acciona Windpower. In addition, a wide range of SMEs contribute significant added value in specialised components such as blades, control systems, bearings and gearboxes.
