As part of this strategy, the company avoids the disposal of more than 130 tons of steel and recycles more than 60 tons of cardboard every year. The company is currently diversifying into other sectors.
The automotive company Lizarte, dedicated to the manufacture of spare parts for cars, has recently installed 4,000 square meters of solar panels at its Navarre headquarters as part of its plans to achieve 100% circular activity in the company. With this and other measures, the company avoids the disposal of more than 130 tons of steel per year and recycles more than 60 tons of cardboard.
The company, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, operates mainly in the Spanish, French and German markets and is currently making a major effort in research and development to maintain its position in the market, developing a complete and advanced catalog of mechatronic products. In addition, several projects are being undertaken in pursuit of digitalization, standardization and optimal industrialization of processes, all with the aim of improving competitiveness “in an increasingly concentrated and constantly changing market”.
New projects
In a recent meeting with representatives of the Government of Navarra, the company’s management explained its diversification plans, which have already begun to materialize in two projects promoted together with other companies, both inside and outside Navarra, related to renewable energies and the search for strategic investments with a high potential return.
The priority of the company’s ownership is to find other projects in which to participate or lead as industrial partners, making the most of the experience acquired over the years, both in remanufacturing and electronics, and to continue creating jobs mainly in Navarra, although it is not closed to other types of projects.
