The Navarre startup has teamed up with the Basque firm Orkli to launch ‘Zaindiri’, a project focused on the design of an intelligent energy efficiency assistant.

The Navarre firm inBiot, specialized in the development of intelligent monitoring and control systems for air quality, has signed an agreement with the Basque firm Orkli to launch Zaindiri. Specifically, the project focuses on the design of an intelligent energy efficiency and health assistant for the Orkli Ecosystem that manages homes (radiant-cooling floor, ventilation, heat pump and solar system).

“Indoor air is two to five times more polluted than outdoor air. And at Orkli we are committed to improving it,” said the Basque company. The agreement was signed at Orkli’s headquarters in Ordizia by Beñat Zudaire, director of the company’s Comfort & Health business, and Xabi Aláez, CEO and co-founder of inBiot.

About inBiot

The startup has three different indoor air measurement and control devices on the market. The emergence of the coronavirus boosted demand, given that maintaining a healthy atmosphere is essential to reduce the risk of contagion. In this regard, the World Health Organization states that we spend between 80 and 90% of our lives indoors. Indoors, the air is between two and five times more polluted than outdoors. On the other hand, the Technical Building Code will require, as of this year, the measurement of certain components such as radon.
