Jata expands its production capacity to 380,000 appliances per year and sets its sights on Central America

Jata

The Tudela-based company, which has increased its productivity by 90% thanks to operational and efficiency improvements in its assembly lines, now plans to enter the Mexican and Guatemalan markets with its range of small household appliances. This international expansion will be accompanied by an industrial plan that includes investments in automation, new assembly lines, and quality enhancements. These plans were shared with the Regional Minister for Industry, Ecological and Digital Business Transition, Mikel Irujo, during his visit to the company’s facilities in Tudela, in southern Navarre.

A market leader in small household appliances and cookware, Jata has increased its production capacity from 200,000 to 380,000 units per year. With this new capacity, the company strengthens its position in the Spanish market while preparing to expand into Latin America. The company’s management has already initiated contact in Mexico and Guatemala, aiming to introduce flagship products such as blenders, air fryers, electric griddles, and coffee makers. The goal is to gain market share across both retail and digital channels, leveraging the competitive advantage of a product range tailored to local consumer habits.

In addition, Jata plans to strengthen its international logistics network and adapt its products to Latin American standards, all while maintaining the European quality that defines its brand. The expanded production capacity also opens the door to seasonal campaigns and limited-edition collections.

Founded in 1943, Jata is a company with more than 80 years of experience. Currently led by Guillermo García, it has a strong track record in European, South American and African markets. With this new production boost, the company expects to exceed €30 million in annual turnover in the coming years.

The expansion into Mexico and Guatemala marks a strategic milestone for Jata, as it seeks to consolidate its international brand image and open the door to new commercial partnerships and distributors in the region — all aligned with its strategy of diversification and sustainable growth.
