Navarra has received a visit from a delegation from Querétaro to facilitate meetings between companies from both sides of the Atlantic linked to the value chain of the automotive sector. The meeting was part of the reverse trade mission organised by the Regional Government, in collaboration with the Automotive Cluster of Querétaro and the Automotive Association of Navarra (ACAN).
The Central American country’s institutional delegation was made up of Genaro Montes, Undersecretary of Development of the Government of Querétaro; Nury González, Coordinator of International Relations of the same government; and Daniel Hernández, Nelly Tenorio and Marisol Guerrero, representing the Automotive Cluster of Querétaro. They were accompanied by a business representation made up of the following six companies established in the region: Dana, ZF, New Holland, GG Group, Stant and Bosal.
On the part of Navarra, their representation was headed by the Regional Minister of Economic and Business Development, Mikel Irujo; Izaskun Goñi, Director General of Business Policy, International Projection and Labour; and the Director of the International Projection Service, Miren Ausin.
This commercial activity, which took place over three days, began with an initial institutional meeting between representatives of the two governments. Subsequently, a presentation session was held at the Royal and General Archive of Navarra to present the automotive sector in Querétaro and the automotive industry in Navarre.
The mission also included two different agendas. On the one hand, the institutional part was addressed to the representatives of the Government of Querétaro, who had the opportunity to get to know the productive fabric and the business environment of the automotive industry in Navarra through academic and cultural exchanges. The business agenda included B2B meetings between companies from Navarre and Querétaro. As a complement to this action, finally, there were several visits to companies in the region as well as the Automotive Technology Innovation Centre of Navarra (NAITEC) to learn first-hand about the automotive ecosystem in Navarra.
