Chinese group Dongfang acquires 100% of the Navarrese company Tiruña

Tiruña

The Chinese firm thus culminates the acquisition of the company that began in 2019 through the business group Fosber, based in Italy. Tiruña, producer of rollers for corrugated board manufacturing plants, currently exports to more than 60 countries and has a turnover of more than 25 million euros.

Tiruña Grupo Industrial, a Pamplona-based manufacturer of rollers for corrugated cardboard manufacturing plants, has been acquired by the Chinese group Dongfang. The buyer is the Italian group Fosber, dedicated to the manufacture of machines for the production of corrugated cardboard. Fosber is owned by the Chinese Dongfang, one of the world’s leading suppliers of equipment and services for the corrugated packaging industries. The transaction was closed last July 28, when the Fosber firm acquired the 30% it did not already own. Previously, in March 2019, it had already acquired 70% of the company.

TGI, Tiruña Grupo Industrial, includes the companies Tiruña SL and Tratamientos Industries, both located in the town of Orkoien, in the west of Pamplona. In addition, the group includes a stake in the company Tiruña América since 2003, whose ownership is 50% shared with Fosber. The company’s main activity is the manufacture and repair of corrugating rolls for machinery manufacturers and cardboard manufacturers.
