Navarra is consolidating its position as one of the most advanced autonomous communities in the field of nursing, according to the latest report by the Ministry of Health. Its leadership is reflected in both primary and hospital care, as well as in working conditions and its capacity to attract professionals from other regions.
In the field of healthcare, the Autonomous Community of Navarra occupies an outstanding position, ranking among the communities with the highest staffing levels in primary care and leading in hospital care at national level. These figures reaffirm the region’s commitment to improving health services and patient care.
In terms of working conditions, this region has one of the most competitive salaries for nurses. In both primary care and hospital care, professionals enjoy uniform remuneration, positioning the region as one of the best in terms of remuneration in the whole country.
Furthermore, it has consolidated its position as the third autonomous community that receives the most nursing professionals from other regions. This figure reflects its capacity to attract talent and strengthen its healthcare system, in a context where professional mobility is key to guaranteeing the quality of care.
On a national level, the report highlights that the majority of nursing contracts are signed with professionals who remain in their communities of origin. However, Navarra continues to be an attractive destination, surpassed only by Catalonia and Madrid in the number of contracts involving transfers between regions.
Finally, the Comunidad foral also stands out in the ratio of nurses to doctors, ranking among the most balanced in the country. This indicator underlines Navarra’s efforts to guarantee an efficient, equitable and people-centred healthcare system.
