Ardena, a Belgian multinational pharmaceutical company specialising in the development of medicines in their initial phases, has a 3,500 square metre production centre in Navarra which employs 105 workers, 61% of whom are women. This facility is specialised in such a way that more than half of the products it works on are aimed at oncological treatments for solid tumours and others related to blood flow. Its turnover in 2022 was 8.5 million euros and, for this year, its managers plan to increase these results to 11 million euros. In addition, the Belgian multinational present in the Autonomous Community dedicates more than 90% of its activity to exports. Its main markets are located mainly in Europe and the United States. However, the management’s intention is to increase the presence of its products in the latter market as well as in Asia.
