  • The Navarre-based company has expanded its facilities in Barbatáin with a new 2,300 m2 warehouse.

  • The firm increased its turnover by 25% in 2021 and expects to grow by another 4 million in 2022, to reach 19 million.

Gurpea, a company from Navarra dedicated to technical support in industrial maintenance and automation engineering, inaugurated last week the expansion of its facilities, located in Barbatáin (south of Pamplona). This extension adds 2,300m2 of usable area to the 1,600m2 already available to the company and is the result of the rapid growth in turnover that the company is experiencing: it increased its turnover by 25% in 2021 and expects to grow by another 4 million in 2022, which would bring it to 19 million annually.

The company has acquired a new building a few meters away from the existing one, with a total of 2,000 m2 for workshops and 300 m2 for offices. Specifically, the activity of this space will focus on the automation engineering line, the assembly of production machinery and the automation of industrial processes. The old area, with 1,000 m2 of workshop space and 600 m2 of office space, will focus on industrial repair services, boilermaking and electrical installation.

Gurpea’s good momentum is reflected in its turnover figures. Already in 2021, the company met its mid-year forecasts and managed to grow by 25% with respect to 2020, to 15 million euros. By 2022, the company expects to reach 19 million, 26.6% more than in 2021. This growth has translated into new hires. In the middle of last year, Gurpea’s team consisted of 185 people. Today, it is 210 (+13.5 %).

After eighteen years in the local and national markets, Gurpea began its internationalization in 2021, providing services to large multinational companies such as Great Lakes Assemblies (USA), Gestamp Mexico, Gestamp Wroclaw (Poland), ZF Mexico and Kirchhoff Automotive (Germany).
