The Navarra-based company successfully passed the Australian Air Force certification process and will now focus on the production of its system. This is a video converter “key in several critical applications”, among others, the real-time monitoring of the security and surveillance systems of the aircraft in which it is incorporated. The Airbus A330 MRTT is a tanker and transport aircraft with a capacity of up to 111 tonnes of fuel for in-flight refuelling.

Orbital Critical Systems, a Navarrese company belonging to the CAF Group since November 2021, informed that it will equip the Airbus A330 MRTT of the Royal Australian Air Force with its Embedded Video Conversion System, called VideoConverter.

This product has “successfully” passed the certification process applied by the Australian air force so that, from now on, it will only focus on its production. Specifically, the VideoConverter is a “key system in a number of critical applications”, including real-time monitoring of the security and surveillance systems of the aircraft in which it is incorporated. It is also used for live streaming of events.

The Airbus A330 MRTT is a military tanker and transport aircraft based on the civil Airbus A330-200. In addition, it has a capacity of up to 111 tonnes of fuel for in-flight refuelling. It is therefore the aircraft in its class with the largest capacity and up to 45 tonnes of maximum payload.
