The agreement “could be convertible into a minority stake” in the Navarrese firm. In addition, the company indicated among its next steps “the consolidation of the market as well as the financial capacity to face the growth foreseen in its business plan”. Fortescue Future Industries, for its part, is a company currently focused on energy transition and has a global presence.
Nabrawind, a Navarra-based company dedicated to the design and development of advanced wind technologies for wind turbine components, was able to obtain financial support from Fortescue Future Industries (FFI). FFI is an Australian renewable energy firm, currently focused on energy transition “with a global presence”.
This agreement is therefore part of the important activity that FFI is developing to achieve a powerful global portfolio linked to renewable energy and green hydrogen projects. Therefore, the agreement in question “could be convertible into a minority stake in Nabrawind in order to expand its production capacity and meet the growing demand for renewable projects that is envisaged for the coming years”, the Navarre-based company explained in a statement.
Mark Hutchinson, CEO of Fortescue Future Industries, described Nabrawind “as a key partner in the development of renewable energy and the green transition”. “We see great opportunities for collaboration between the two companies,” he added.
For his part, the CEO of Nabrawind, Eneko Sanz, said that “after the technical challenges, production capacity and market entry”, the next challenges for his company are “market consolidation and the financial capacity to meet the expected growth” in its business plans. “Our partnership with FFI strengthens us,” he said.
Finally, Sanz highlighted the relevant work carried out by its partners not only in this process, but also for the constant support throughout these many years. Nabrawind’s current partners are Barinaga & Alberdi, Sodena, InnoEnergy and Basarro.
