CAVEO

Navarra has welcomed Nabhen Bouchaala, CEO of the Tunisian industrial group CAVEO, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of metal components for mechanical suspension systems. The visit aimed to strengthen international industrial ties and showcase the potential of Navarra’s industrial ecosystem, particularly in the automotive sector.

The meeting brought together representatives from the Government of Navarra, Invest in Navarra (Sodena), the Navarra Automotive Cluster (ACAN) and the Baztan-Bidasoa Business Association, alongside executives from Caveo Spain, the group’s manufacturing subsidiary located in Bera.

A long-standing industrial presence in Navarra

Caveo Spain, heir to the historic Funvera company, has more than a century of industrial history in Navarra. The company specializes in the production of suspension leaf springs for trucks, trailers and semi-trailers and currently employs around 140 people in the region, with an annual turnover of approximately €20 million.

During the visit, Navarra’s institutions highlighted the region’s industrial capabilities, the strategic importance of the automotive sector and Navarra’s collaborative innovation environment, supported by a strong network of technology centres, qualified talent and institutional backing for international industrial projects.

Innovation, automotive expertise and international collaboration

The CAVEO delegation also met with key players from Navarra’s innovation ecosystem, including NAITEC, CENER and the Public University of Navarra (UPNA), as well as several companies linked to the automotive sector.

Navarra continues to strengthen its position as one of Europe’s most industrialised regions, with industry accounting for more than 30% of regional GDP and an ecosystem strongly focused on advanced manufacturing, mobility and sustainable industrial growth.
