More than 30 companies from Tierra Estella and across Navarra recently took part in a strategic event aimed at exploring diversification and growth opportunities within the aerospace sector — a high value-added industry with strong international growth potential.

The initiative, promoted by the Association of Companies of the Estella District (LASEME) with technical support from the Association of Industry of Navarra (AIN), enabled more than 70 business meetings with leading aerospace companies such as MTorres, Aciturri and Satlantis.

Navarra strengthens its position in a strategic industry

The event forms part of a wider strategy launched in 2022 by the Government of Navarra and Sodena to strengthen the region’s aerospace ecosystem and encourage more companies to enter this technology-driven industry.

Navarra’s aerospace sector currently includes around 40 companies, generates more than €300 million in annual turnover and employs close to 1,000 professionals, consolidating its position as one of the region’s most promising emerging industries.

The project also included a technical assessment carried out by AIN to identify companies in Tierra Estella with industrial and technological capabilities suitable for integration into the aerospace value chain. From engineering and advanced manufacturing to automation and industrial coatings, the analysis highlighted the diversification potential of Navarra’s industrial fabric.

An industrial ecosystem ready to diversify and grow

During the event, institutional and business representatives underlined the importance of supporting Navarra-based companies in their transition towards more specialised and internationally competitive technology sectors.

The region’s commitment to aerospace forms part of a broader strategy to promote emerging industries linked to innovation, digitalisation and advanced manufacturing — areas in which Navarra continues to strengthen its position as a competitive industrial hub and an attractive destination for international investment and business projects.
