Navarra continues to reinforce its position as a competitive health and life sciences ecosystem with the steady growth of the Navarra Health Cluster, which now brings together 60 member organisations and consolidates its role as a key sectoral driver in the region.
Founded in 2022, the cluster integrates three out of four companies and institutions in Navarra’s health sector, covering the entire value chain – from biopharma and medical technologies to healthcare services, research centres and clinical institutions.
A sector with strong economic and innovation impact
The ecosystem supported by the cluster is underpinned by a solid industrial base, with member organisations generating over €2.6 billion in annual turnover and investing more than €120 million in R&D, highlighting its role as a major driver of innovation and economic development in Navarra.
This positioning aligns with the region’s smart specialisation strategy, where the health sector plays a strategic role in generating knowledge, skilled employment and innovative solutions with global impact.
Collaboration and opportunities in a growing ecosystem
Over the past year, Navarra Health Cluster has organised more than 15 professional events with around 500 participants, fostering the creation of partnerships, collaborative projects and new business opportunities among companies, research centres and healthcare organisations.
The cluster has also expanded its service portfolio with initiatives aimed at enhancing sector competitiveness, including international benchmarking missions and specialised training programmes in key areas such as healthcare regulation.
Navarra, a hub for health and life sciences innovation
The continued growth of Navarra Health Cluster reflects the region’s ability to build an integrated, collaborative and innovation-driven ecosystem, capable of attracting talent, advancing strategic projects and delivering high value-added solutions.
With strong public-private collaboration and a well-established industrial base, Navarra offers an attractive environment for development and investment in the health and life sciences sector in Europe.
