Synergas boosts its national growth from Navarre after relocating its registered office to Beriáin

SYNERGAS

Synergas has embarked on a new strategic phase following the relocation of its registered office to Beriáin (Navarre), from where it aims to consolidate its expansion and strengthen its presence in both the regional and national markets.

The hardware and industrial supplies purchasing cooperative, made up of more than 85 member companies and with annual turnover exceeding €35 million, presented this ambitious growth plan at an event marking the official change of its registered office.

Strategic objectives and roadmap

Synergas’ Managing Director, Iñigo Pérez, explained that the main goal of the 2026–2029 Strategic Plan is to triple the aggregated purchasing volume over the next five years, increasing it from the current €35 million to a significantly higher figure. To achieve this, the cooperative is committed to:

  • Establishing strategic alliances with other players in the sector, such as its collaboration with the purchasing group Aside, whose network exceeds €300 million in aggregated volume.
  • Attracting new members to strengthen the cooperative network and expand the reach of its activities.
  • Developing an expansion plan both within Navarre and across the rest of Spain, with a strong focus on innovation and operational efficiency.

Navarra’s growing role in the cooperative’s activity

The relocation reflects the increasing importance of Navarre in the cooperative’s development: more than 40% of its members and a significant share of its activity were already concentrated in the region. In Beriáin, Synergas operates a 4,000 m² logistics centre, from which it manages over 25,000 product references.

In addition, the cooperative has joined the Association of Social Economy Enterprises of Navarre (ANEL). According to its representatives, this partnership will facilitate digitalisation projects, the development of new services for members and the strengthening of the cooperative ecosystem from its Navarre base.

Cooperative roots and future outlook

Synergas was founded in 2014 following the merger of the Gipuzkoa-based cooperative Unife and Iruña Ferreteros, originally headquartered in Beriáin, bringing together two models with shared values and strong territorial roots. Today, this legacy is reinforced by a modern, cohesive structure, well positioned to address new challenges in a sector that demands competitiveness, efficiency and responsiveness.
