Coover doubles its turnover and aims to exceed €50 million in revenue

Coover

The Navarre-based company, specialising in packaging solutions for the agri-food industry and formerly known as Envaplaster, has set an ambitious target for this financial year: to double the revenue it achieved in 2022. In doing so, it aims to consolidate its growth following its integration with the Italian group AMB.

Since the merger with the AMB Group was formalised in July 2023, the company, headquartered in Milagro, has entered a new phase under the brand name Coover. This name reinforces its commitment to innovation in sustainable packaging and symbolises its international projection as part of a group with a presence in 47 countries and a commercial network of over 500 employees worldwide.

Coover is dedicated to the production of plastic films for food packaging, combining recyclable and recycled materials with a strong focus on the circular economy. The company has strengthened its commitment to sustainability not only through its products, but also by improving its production processes and infrastructure. It currently employs 85 professionals and operates an industrial site covering 12,000 square metres.

The integration with AMB has allowed the Milagro plant to expand its commercial reach, benefit from technological synergies, and accelerate its growth strategy. The name change is also part of a brand unification strategy across all group companies, which already shared a common vision, values, and strategic goals.

With this transformation, Coover not only maintains its roots in Navarre, but also strengthens its role as a leading player in sustainable food packaging at a time when regulatory pressure and environmental awareness are driving the demand for new solutions that promote more responsible consumption.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE AGRI-FOOD SECTOR

Among the most prominent are Spain’s two leading frozen vegetable producers (Ultracongelados Virto and Congelados de Navarra), the largest cereal cooperative group (Grupo AN), and the global leader in the manufacture and marketing of casings for food products (Viscofan), whose sales reach over one hundred countries worldwide. Other key players include Spain’s top producer of ready-to-eat salads and fresh vegetables (Florette), as well as major multinationals such as General Mills, Gelagri, Mondelez, and Agrozumos.
