Efectoscopio, a new animation and VFX studio that lands in Navarra thanks to Sodena and Clavna

CLAVNA EFECTOSCOPIO

The technology firm Dare Planet Corporation has decided to open a new headquarters in Pamplona, attracted by Navarra’s competitive environment in the audiovisual field and the interest of several of its national and international clients in contracting digital post-production services in the region. The establishment of Efectoscopio, the name of the new studio, has been made possible thanks to the support of Clavna, the audiovisual cluster of Navarra, and Sodena, the public company dependent on the Government of Navarra, within the framework of its programme to attract companies and talent to the region ‘Invest in Navarra’.

The studio is starting its activity with the creation of six jobs, with forecasts for growth depending on the national and international service contracts that its parent company can bring to Pamplona. The initiative also has the active participation of Susana Muniain, a colourist from Navarre with extensive experience in Madrid, who is driving the development of the new office.

In addition to offering animation and VFX services, Efectoscopio plans to develop a line of training to incorporate local talent, replicating the strategy it has already implemented in its Madrid and Zaragoza offices.

Miguel Iturralde, president of Clavna, stressed that the installation of companies such as Efectoscopio responds to the cluster’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the audiovisual value chain in Navarre, making the region an attractive place for the development of productions. This success, he added, is largely due to public-private collaboration, with key support from Sodena’s foreign investment attraction area.

As can be seen in the ‘Strategic Sectors’ section of our Invest in Navarra website, the audiovisual industry in Navarra has experienced significant growth and a notable evolution over the last decade. In this sense, this industry has a series of transversal support in different areas in the region to stimulate investment in infrastructures as well as in the production of audiovisual content.
