The German multinational plans to strengthen its presence in the region with a new investment that will increase the importance of its headquarters in Orkoien, a municipality in the vicinity of the capital, Pamplona. Specifically, its managers plan to build a new 1,427 square metre warehouse for the storage of components, parts and accessories for the motor vehicles manufactured by the company. This facility will enable them to dispense with the external warehouse they currently use.
As reported by Navarra Capital, the company is also working on the forthcoming installation of an industrial marquee next to its dockside warehouse, where approximately four workers will be employed. With this expansion, KWD Automotive will have a total storage area of 3,113 usable square metres, increasing the company’s total usable area to 9,995 square metres.
KWD Automotive, which has an annual turnover of €475 million, has six branches in five countries and employs around 2,000 people. Founded in Pamplona twenty-six years ago, the Spanish division of the German multinational is dedicated to the manufacture of sheet metal components for the automotive industry.
In this sense, KWD is a success story of foreign investment in Spain. This is how we reflect it in Invest in Navarra through the testimony that you can access in this link.
