The company expects to generate around fifty direct jobs and a turnover of around 80 million euros per year. In addition, the firm will produce more than 30 million kilos per year instead of the current 18 million kilos.<\/h3>\n

C\u00e1rnicas Iru\u00f1a, the first company to set up in the new industrial park of Lumbier, will invest 13.5 million euros in the construction of its new 23,000 m2 plant, which is expected to generate some fifty direct jobs.<\/p>\n

The company, a reference firm in the agro-food sector, currently has a production plant in Orkoien, a town near Pamplona. This factory has been producing 18 million kilos of pork meat per year.<\/p>\n

With the expansion of the facilities in Lumbier, the company expects to increase its production to more than 30 million kilos per year, with an export ratio of between 30-40 % and an estimated turnover of 80 million euros.<\/p>\n

More land to reactivate the economy in eastern Navarre<\/h3>\n

C\u00e1rnicas Iru\u00f1a is the first company to set up in the new industrial estate in the town of Sang\u00fcesa, in the east of Navarre, recently developed by the public company Nasuvinsa. The Government of Navarre has invested 2.3 million in this area to meet the demand for industrial land in the Pre-Pyrenees and to promote economic reactivation and job creation.<\/p>\n

The objective of this public project is to encourage the settlement of new companies and the creation of jobs in this part of Navarra, affected by the phenomenon of rural depopulation.<\/p>\n
