Navarra continues to consolidate its position as one of the leading regions in the development of energy communities and collective self-consumption projects. According to figures presented during the 4th European Energy Communities Congress held in Pamplona, the region currently has 12 energy communities per 100,000 inhabitants \u2013 six times the Spanish average.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These figures reflect Navarra\u2019s commitment to a more participatory, sustainable and decentralised energy model, in which citizens, businesses and local authorities play an active role in the energy transition.<\/p>\n

A collaborative ecosystem driving the energy transition<\/strong><\/p>\n

More than 300 professionals, organisations and institutions linked to the energy sector took part in the European event held at the Baluarte Conference Centre as part of the 5th Europe Week in Navarra. The congress brought together public representatives, companies, cooperatives and experts to share experiences and discuss the challenges and opportunities surrounding energy communities.<\/p>\n

During the event, Navarra\u2019s Regional Minister for Industry and for Ecological and Digital Business Transition, Mikel Irujo, highlighted the strategic role these initiatives are playing in the new energy model and underlined the strong support ecosystem that Navarra has developed around renewable energy and citizen participation.<\/p>\n

In recent years, Navarra has promoted a range of support measures to encourage the development of energy communities, including public incentives, tax deductions, technical assistance and advisory programmes for local authorities, businesses and citizens.<\/p>\n

Shared energy for more sustainable development<\/strong><\/p>\n

The growth of these initiatives further strengthens Navarra\u2019s position as a benchmark region for energy innovation and sustainability. In addition to contributing to decarbonisation and the expansion of renewable energy, energy communities help promote energy self-sufficiency, reduce costs and generate a positive impact on the local economy.<\/p>\n

Through this model, Navarra continues to move towards a more collaborative, efficient and locally driven energy transition.<\/p>\n
