The initiative has recently been declared an \u201cinvestment of regional interest\u201d by the Government of Navarra, which will streamline administrative procedures and support its implementation.<\/h3>\n<p>The expansion includes the construction of two new buildings totalling around 12,000 m\u00b2, intended for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a new frozen finished-goods chamber with capacity for approximately 15,000 pallet positions, and<\/li>\n<li>an ambient-temperature warehouse for packaging materials with capacity for around 4,800 pallets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These facilities will provide dedicated service to Grupo Gelagri Ib\u00e9rica, one of Europe\u2019s leading producers of frozen vegetables, with whom Lineage has maintained a well-established partnership for more than twenty years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Boosting competitiveness and employment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project will strengthen both companies\u2019 presence and commitment in the region, creating at least 15 new jobs and consolidating more than 600 positions linked to Lineage and Gelagri in Navarra.<\/p>\n<p>The new chamber and warehouse are expected to be operational in the second half of 2027, contributing to the modernisation of logistics and the value chain of the local agri-food sector.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supporting Agri-food Industry 4.0 and sustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The regional government has highlighted that this investment will act as a driving force for Navarra\u2019s agri-food industry, promoting the adoption of technological, digital and sustainable solutions in an agricultural environment such as the Ribera.<\/p>\n<p>The project aligns with the priority areas of Navarra\u2019s Smart Specialisation Strategy (S4), particularly in fields such as sustainable and healthy agri-food, and the circular economy and bioeconomy.
