The consortium, owned by local entrepreneur Benito Jim\u00e9nez, has acquired Embutidos La Hoguera and Embutidos Sol\u00e0, located in San Pedro Manrique and La Plana de Vic respectively. Both companies thus join the group\u2019s meat division, to which C\u00e1rnicas Galar was recently added. In addition to these acquisitions, the Navarre-based company also took over Tastia Group, which specialises in catering and food.<\/h3>\n

Currently, Embutidos Sol\u00e0 is expanding its facilities to meet the growing demand for its products. According to its manager, Jordi Cobo, the alliance with Navarra de Participaciones Industriales<\/em> (owned by Benito Jim\u00e9nez) will allow them \u201cto respond more quickly to demand\u201d and strengthen their competitiveness \u201cto reach new markets\u201d. The deal was advised by ABL & New York Associates on behalf of the sellers.<\/p>\n

Embutidos La Hoguera, for its part, specialises in producing hams, loins, chorizo and torreznos<\/em>. This company has a turnover of around \u20ac50 million and employs 124 people.<\/p>\n

In both cases, the acquiring company confirmed its intention to retain the current teams, operating under the philosophy of sustainable growth, a commitment to quality, and technological innovation that defines the Navarre group. Indeed, both Embutidos Sol\u00e0 and Embutidos La Hoguera share a strong tradition, an ongoing commitment to excellence in their processes, and a vision aligned with the values of the acquiring consortium.<\/p>\n

The acquisition of these assets was advised by Deloitte and Agnia. Specifically, Norgesti\u00f3n advised the owners of Embutidos La Hoguera, while ABL & New York Associates acted for the owners of Embutidos Sol\u00e0.<\/p>\n

In the words of Benito Jim\u00e9nez, the aim of this double acquisition is \u201cto consolidate a competitive meat group, strengthening the production capacities of the companies to seek synergies, expand the range and thus tackle new market challenges\u201d.<\/p>\n

With this, Navarra de Participaciones Industriales continues to advance its strategic diversification plan, supported by a solid industrial base in Navarre. Its flagship company, Congelados de Navarra, is headquartered in Fusti\u00f1ana and has a presence in more than 70 countries, exporting nearly 70% of its production.<\/p>\n

The importance of the agri-food sector<\/strong><\/p>\n

Navarre\u2019s companies cover the entire value chain, from the primary sector to the agri-food industry, with standouts including Spain\u2019s two largest frozen vegetable producers (Ultracongelados Virto and Congelados de Navarra), the largest cereal cooperative group (Grupo AN), the global leader in manufacturing and marketing casings for food products (Viscofan), whose sales reach around 100 countries worldwid, Spain\u2019s leading producer of fresh ready-to-eat salads and vegetables (Florette), and multinational companies of the highest calibre such as General Mills, Gelagri, Mondelez or Agrozumos.
