Although the project remains in an early stage, the progress observed was described as “very positive” by Irujo, who regarded the initiative led by Inpelsa as “a model of industrialisation” for the Tierra Estella region.<\/p>\n
Following the bankruptcy proceedings of Tener\u00edas Omega, which left over 70 people unemployed, Inpelsa\u2019s arrival has helped recover part of the lost jobs\u2014an encouraging development for the local community. From the outset, the Valencian company has been committed to retaining 44 workers from the former facility.<\/p>\n
The decision handed down by Commercial Court No. 2 in Pamplona approved Inpelsa\u2019s proposal over other bids, confirming it as the most robust option. In May 2025, Inpelsa resumed operations\u2014initially with a small team that has since expanded\u2014and established a local subsidiary under the name Inpelsa Calf to manage activities from Villatuerta.<\/p>\n
As such, the reactivation of the plant represents not only the recovery of employment but also the consolidation of a new strategic industrial hub in Navarre. Inpelsa aims to strengthen this line of business in the high added-value bovine leather tanning sector, with a view to positioning its products in leading European markets.<\/p>\n
