Navarre has presented the European Circular Innovation Valley (ECIV) project in the Netherlands, after it was selected\u2014among other proposals\u2014to feature in an information session forming part of the official programme of the Circular Summit 2025. The project aims to foster both interregional collaboration and the commitment of key changemakers. During its launch, attendees learned about the main milestones of ECIV\u2014with the support of Sodena\u2014as well as upcoming funding calls for innovation projects and the tools made available to involved stakeholders. Of the budget allocated to Navarre, \u20ac4.3 million will be distributed over two funding calls in the next three years.<\/h3>\n

According to Delia Sola<\/strong>, Director of Strategic Projects and Entrepreneurship at S4, \u201cWe face many challenges in the field of circular economy, and they must not be tackled in isolation. Collaboration is essential; regions must work together to involve businesses. Moreover, it is important to share good practices and strengthen cooperation to complete regional value chains.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The event highlighted the idea that only through cooperation can we address shared challenges, exchange knowledge, and build interregional value chains<\/strong>\u2014all crucial steps in the transition towards a circular economy in our industrial ecosystem.<\/p>\n

The event also welcomed representatives from ECIV\u2019s partner regions: Francesco Lembo<\/strong>, from ACR+<\/strong>, and Sander Bos<\/strong>, project leader and strategic adviser on Circular Economy and European Affairs in Frysl\u00e2n<\/strong>, the host region. Also in attendance was Evert Jan Van Nijend<\/strong>, Managing Director of Circulair Frysl\u00e2n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Circular Summit Frysl\u00e2n 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Frysl\u00e2n is one of the most advanced circular regions in Europe and a pioneer in circular economy thanks to its deeply rooted, collaborative approach. The region has built a model based on a coalition of businesses, government bodies, and knowledge institutions<\/strong>, creating a solid foundation for circular innovation.<\/p>\n

Over the course of three days, the summit featured keynote presentations by leading experts in circular economy, hands-on working sessions, and on-site field visits.<\/p>\n

The event was jointly organised by Circulair Frysl\u00e2n<\/strong> and the Frysl\u00e2n regional government<\/strong>, with ACR+<\/strong> (Association of Cities and Regions for sustainable resource management)\u2014also a project partner of ECIV\u2014acting as co-organiser.<\/p>\n

The summit concluded with a joint position paper<\/strong> outlining shared ambitions and policy recommendations for advancing Europe\u2019s circular future.<\/p>\n
