In addition, the World’s Best Olive Oils (WBOO) 2023\/2024 ranking has placed the Fontellas-based company as the second best mill in the world in the general category. A milestone that, according to Aceite Artajo, “promises to open up new market opportunities and stimulate research into cultivation and production techniques adapted to different climatic conditions”. “It is an exceptional milestone for a small family business that bases its quality on its own production, with the olive grove surrounding the mill. This facet of olive grove farmers, together with the uniqueness of the climate, provides the perfect combo to produce a great extra virgin”, added the company’s managers.<\/h3>\n

World’s Best Olive Oils (WBOO) also included four of Artajo’s organic oils among the ten best in the world: Artajo 8 Bio Arbequina, Artajo 10 Bio Koroneiki, Artajo 10 Bio Arbequina and Artajo 10 Bio Arbosana.<\/p>\n

“The World’s Best Olive Oils (WBOO), created by renowned taster Heiko Schmidt, is considered the definitive barometer of quality in the extra virgin olive oil industry, as it bases its score on the most prestigious and reliable recognitions. Artajo’s rise from second place in the organic category last year to the top this year, accompanied by second place in the overall category, demonstrates an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and excellence”.<\/p>\n

For its part, since its foundation in 1998, Aceite Artajo has aimed to “produce the best extra virgin olive oil possible”, respecting the environment and “committing to ecological practices”. “This recognition validates years of hard work and dedication of our entire team, from the farmers to the production experts,” the company stressed.
