Belgian multinational Lhoist will increase by 82 % the production capacity of its Navarre quarry

  • The multinational will replace one of the furnaces in its quarry, with a maximum production capacity of 180 tons per day, with a new one with a capacity of up to 600 tons per day. This will mean a 20% improvement in efficiency.

Belgian multinational Lhoist will make a major investment in its quarry in Navarra, Calinsa. It plans to increase its maximum productivity capacity by 82%, from the current 550 tons per day (200,750 per year) to 1,000 tons per day (365,000 per year).

Calinsa manufactures lime (calcium oxide), slaked lime (calcium hydroxide), and hydrated lime under Sorbacal brand. These products are marketed in bulk or packaged.

The improvement in productivity will occur due to the replacement of one of the furnaces in its quarry, with a maximum production capacity of 180 tons per day, with a new one with a capacity of up to 600 tons per day. This will mean a 20% improvement in efficiency.
