Located in the heart of the Ebro valley, it earns revenues of 3,000 million euros a year and another 900 million in the primary sector.
It is one of the most important sectors in our region, with a long tradition, made up of more than 1,270 companies and 25.000 employees. The sector represents 6.6% of the region’s GDP and 14% of its industrial GDP.

INTIA Institute of Agrifood Technologies and Infrastructures of Navarra focused on research into agriculture and stockbreeding with specialized infrastructures for wine and milk
CNTA National Center of Food Technology and Security. It provides advanced technological services for companies and institutions in the agro sector: technical assistance, research and development, quality control in food security, and training courses.
Food Science Department of the Universidad de Navarra. This university’s long experience in the development of pharmaceuticals is directly applicable to food research, constituting a multinational platform to cover the process required for the development of functional and nutritional food.
IDAB Institute of Agrobiotechnology belonging to the Universidad Pública de Navarra. It focuses on research into agroabiotechnologies in the area of biomedicine.
